Anyone that has ever daydreamed or become lost in thought has experienced a form of relaxation hypnosis. Consciously, you are aware of one thought process, and the rest is done in an unconscious state of mind. When you are with a therapist using hypnotherapy, you will probably be able to hear noises, and other things, but your conscious realization of these types of things aren’t as strong, since you are focusing more on what the therapist is telling you. People going into a trance state is a natural occurrence, and happens every day.
Usually, when working with a therapist, a trance like state is accomplished when the therapist talks in a rhythmic voice for some time that leads you to a path where you are much more suggestible than you would normally be. This is the main way that hypnosis is used.
In a hypnotic state, you become more relaxed and able to concentrate much more deeply, letting you zone in on your anxiety or problem while staying in a state of relaxation. For the most part, people can become much calmer and relaxed when they are in a trance state than when they are not. This state can be used to allow the person to stop the link between a memory, thought, or idea that causes pain and anxiety. It assists people in changing the things that need to be changed, and growing what needs to grow in their lives.
Suggestions are given in this state, allowing you to get what you want, or something that will be of great help to you, and while in this state, you more readily accept it than you would if you were not hypnotized. You are the one that controls your body and mind with relaxation hypnosis.
Through hypnosis, a person can learn how to have control over parts of their person that they normally would not have any control over.
Hypno- healing is something else that can be of great benefit, since it uses the natural healing ability of your body to allow you to heal from sickness. It is very important to realize that you can always come out of a trance state when you are ready. You will also only act on suggestions that seem right for you, so there is nothing to fear through hypnosis.
Hypnosis can benefit people in many ways, through using it therapeutically or for healing. Since you are always in control, there is no fear of doing or saying something you wouldn’t normally do or say.
