</table>What is Hypnosis? Even though most people aren&#8217;t aware of it, they have been hypnotized before. Anyone that has ever daydreamed or become lost in thought has experienced a form of <strong>relaxation hypnosis</strong>. This is much like if you were doing something, like driving, and when you got to where you were going, couldn&#8217;t remember driving there for much of the way. There are tons of examples of these situations that people experience every day.</p>
<p>When in a hypnotic state, the person&#8217;s consciousness goes in two directions, which are completely separate from each other. Consciously, you are aware of one thought process, and the rest is done in an unconscious state of mind. In hypnotherapy, you are usually still aware of some of the things that are happening in your world.</p>
<p>When you are with a therapist using hypnotherapy, you will probably be able to hear noises, and other things, but your conscious realization of these types of things aren&#8217;t as strong, since you are focusing more on what the therapist is telling you. People going into a trance state is a natural occurrence, and happens every day.</p>
<p>Usually, when working with a therapist, a trance like state is accomplished when the therapist talks in a rhythmic voice for some time that leads you to a path where you are much more suggestible than you would normally be. This is the main way that hypnosis is used.</p>
<p>In a hypnotic state, you become more relaxed and able to concentrate much more deeply, letting you zone in on your anxiety or problem while staying in a state of relaxation. For the most part, people can become much calmer and relaxed when they are in a trance state than when they are not. This state can be used to allow the person to stop the link between a memory, thought, or idea that causes pain and anxiety. It assists people in changing the things that need to be changed, and growing what needs to grow in their lives.</p>
<p>Suggestions are given in this state, allowing you to get what you want, or something that will be of great help to you, and while in this state, you more readily accept it than you would if you were not hypnotized. You are the one that controls your body and mind with <span style="text-decoration: underline;">relaxation hypnosis</span>.</p>
<p>Through hypnosis, a person can learn how to have control over parts of their person that they normally would not have any control over.</p>
<p>Hypno- healing is something else that can be of great benefit, since it uses the natural healing ability of your body to allow you to heal from sickness. It is very important to realize that you can always come out of a trance state when you are ready. You will also only act on suggestions that seem right for you, so there is nothing to fear through hypnosis.</p>
<p>Hypnosis can benefit people in many ways, through using it therapeutically or for healing. Since you are always in control, there is no fear of doing or saying something you wouldn&#8217;t normally do or say.</p>

<br />To answer your original question, no. Trance can be induced in many different ways and no, alcohol or depressants are not useful. Why would you want to ask the ego about a persons &#8216;past life&#8217;? That is a major assumption that there is such a thing. It&#8217;s better if  you are a beginner to simply use a progressive relaxation technique. If you are funny and put people at ease by telling jokes, go ahead. But honestly people don&#8217;t need to be relaxed to go into trances. It&#8217;s a very natural occurrence.</p>

</table>In the time it takes to count to 68, two people in the United States will have died from heart disease. Because heart disease can be hereditary, it is a good idea to talk to your doctor and look into your family history so you can be aware of your heart disease risks.<br />
Since emotional stress has been linked to heart disease, many people have been looking for ways to help with the stresses of everyday life. Among other things, stress causes increased adrenaline and cortisol, which can lead to higher blood pressure levels. One time tested stress reliever is Transcendental Meditation. Studies have shown that by practicing Transcendental Meditation for 20 minutes, twice a day, those who already had heart disease or were at risk for it, had better results than those who only attempted to alter their diets. The meditation group had lower blood pressure levels, and a decreased risk for heart attacks, strokes and death.<br />
Transcendental meditation is beneficial because it actually reduces the levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol. Because there are a higher number of cortisol receptors in the abdominal area, stress and high levels of cortisol have also been linked to belly fat; and belly fat has been linked to increased heart disease risks. By taking 40 minutes out of your day to practice Transcendental meditation, you just might be adding years onto your life.</p>

</table>What is Meditation? Meditation involves body and mind connection. It is where you clear your thoughts free from any distraction and simply become aware of things around you. Closing your eyes and feeling the gentle breeze and listening to the chirping of the birds are some ways of meditating.</p>
<p>The term meditation is taken from the Latin words meditari and mederi, which means ‘to think, to dwell upon&#8217; and ‘to heal&#8217;, respectively. It is also derived from the Sanskrit term medha which means wisdom.</p>
<p>Meditation comes in different types, among which include:  focusing on your own breath; clearing the mind, which enables your thoughts to float and wander into a state of consciousness at the same time push aside constant or bothersome thoughts; and saying a mantra and focusing on an object. Physical techniques may also be incorporated in meditation to ease the mind through breathing and body coordination. These include yoga, Tai Chi or Qi Gong.</p>
<p>It is important for you to spend time meditating. Having a moment of privacy and silence, as suggested in meditation, can bring about a lot of benefits for your health. In fact, numerous studies show that meditation comes with powerful healing properties. Regular meditation helps stabilize the brain. This is because when you meditate, the brain significantly alters to a state of consciousness, which is important in fighting stress or the feeling of being burned out.</p>
<p>Meditation also improves concentration, creativity and sense of awareness. Meditation boosts self-esteem as well. Research show that those who meditate regularly are less likely to experience anxiety, have greater creativity and problem solving skills as well as better interpersonal relationships. When you meditate, you exude a warm and positive aura to other people, making them gravitate towards you.</p>
<p>Meditation is good for the heart as well. Because meditating reduces heart rate, it can help lower or maintain ideal blood pressure. In fact, this has been proven in several studies, which shows significant systolic reductions in persons with hypertension. Some studies also suggest that meditation, when combined with other relaxation methods can have more positive results. Meditation, when performed with physical techniques, can also help prevent the onset of cardiovascular diseases.</p>
<p>In addition, meditation can do wonders for your skin as well. It increases your galvanic skin response, which is your skin&#8217;s electrical resistance. Although an increase in GSR only lasts a short while, this development helps lower or prevent anxiety. Meditation also improves blood circulation essential for promoting healthy skin.</p>
<p>Another benefit of meditation is improvement of gastrointestinal function. Deep breathing, which is associated with meditation helps ease and relax stomach muscles thus regulating bowel movement. Meditation also boosts endocrine function, in which it has been found to reduce levels of cortisol, epinephrine and lactate in the body.  An increase of these blood chemicals can lead to anxiety and tension.</p>
<p>Meditation also promotes proper posture, thus getting rid of muscular tension. Meditation with exercise involves movement, posture and proper breathing that increase muscle flexibility and mobility. These exercises strengthen the muscles, ligament and spine for a strong and flexible body.</p>
<p>Meditating for even just a short five minutes before you start your day can boost your energy levels needed throughout the day. Meditation is excellent for managing stress, in which you prepare yourself for your everyday responsibilities, thus preventing you from being warped up of its stresses.</p>
<p>By regularly taking time to meditate, you can experience these benefits and even more.</p>
