is this done by questioning the person regarding their past life and asking them to recall incidents clearly?
is it sometimes helpful to aid their relaxation by alcohol or depressents?
why and how so?
does it also help for you to maybe help them lighten up by telling jokes, etc?
maybe even showing your own child like nature?
why and how so?
thanks for your answers!
To answer your original question, no. Trance can be induced in many different ways and no, alcohol or depressants are not useful. Why would you want to ask the ego about a persons ‘past life’? That is a major assumption that there is such a thing. It’s better if you are a beginner to simply use a progressive relaxation technique. If you are funny and put people at ease by telling jokes, go ahead. But honestly people don’t need to be relaxed to go into trances. It’s a very natural occurrence.

Not sure where you are getting your information from. Hypnosis is letting go of the present and submitting the subconscience to come foreward. Many events in the life can be called up and re-lived (observation). I don’t believe drugs should play a part of any hypno session. Dealing with another’s subconscience is not a joking matter, it is a great responsibility that should only be undertaken when someone has nothing to gain from the other but acts as a conduit to assist the patient. Self hypnosis can also help to unlock secrets of the subconscious. This is a true science and can be most helpful in the hands of a caring professional. It is not something to play around with as recreation.

Hello
Alcohol, drugs – never. As a hypnotherapist I would turn someone away who was not straight for the session & I would never use them on a client.
The state of hypnosis itself allows the subconscious to be access, allowing the person to see what needs to be via what they themselves have visited for.
